A Good Laugh

Today Caroline had a playdate with my friend's little boy, Cody. The problem is that sometimes they fight and Caroline is usually the more vocal one about it. Today they were arguing and saying, "I don't want to play with you anymore." My friend, Karen finally said, "Just stop saying you don't want to play and go play." They agreed and went on playing.

So I pick up Caroline a few hours later and she has decided, yet again, that she doesn't want to play with Cody ANYMORE and so I opened the car door and she got in. I continued my conversation with Karen when suddenly Caroline honked the horn. I didn't know she knew how to do that! I never honk the horn! Anyway, she opened the car door and loudly proclaimed with all her newly-5-year-old-attitude that, "I don't ever want to play with Cody again. Not today, not tomorrow, not Thursday, not even Saturday!!!"

Me: "How about Wednesday?"

C: "That'll work."

Karen and I laughed so hard we almost peed our respective pants.
