Caroline's 7th Birthday and 6 Years Ago Today.

Six years ago, we were in a hotel room in Changsha, China anxiously waiting to board a bus to three little girls who were getting families forever. We were three families who had not known each other before getting our referral photos, but are now family. Forever linked by three little girls who were born on the other side of the world.

Six years ago today, we left our hotel in Changsha, Hunan Province, China as a family of 3 and came back as a family of 4 with the addition of this little girl.

Saturday, we got together again to celebrate our girls turning 7 and remembering the journey of a lifetime that forever changed all of us for the better.

And watched a movie together.

Enjoyed hamburgers and hot dogs

Collaborated on Pin the Tail on the Donkey

Had sack races

Target Practice.

And opened many gifts.

Each had a whack at the pinata. Caroline gave it her best shot

So did Abilgail

And McKenna

But in the end, it took big brother Peter to set the candy free.
