Disneyland with Yumiko and Kensuke

Yesterday after church, we went to Disneyland to meet up with Yumiko and her husband, Kensuke. He flew out from Japan to see her and they made the most of LA's Metrolink and bus systems. Rick took her to the train station on Friday morning and she met her husband at the Sheraton Downtown LA. Then they went to Knott's Berry Farm, Santa Monica, and then to Disneyland/California Adventure. We met them for dinner and had a very nice time and we were so happy to finally meet her husband. She married him in June and then just a few weeks later, came to California to work as an intern at the local preschool for 6 months! Can you imagine how hard that must be? She was nervous about taking the train and not knowing how to get around since her English is not where she would like it to be, but we gave her Rick's cell phone so she could call us if necessary. On the way home, someone asked HER for directions and to her surprise, she knew how to give the directions. She is now an expert!
