Over Memorial Weekend Disney decided to promote a new movie, "A Christmas Carol" at Union Station in Los Angeles. The promotion was to include previews of the movie, an interactive display, and items from the Charles Dickens Museum in London. The day before we went, they expected 5000 people...15,000 showed up. The day we went, they were expecting 12,000 people...there were 20,000 before noon. It was turning out to be a four-hour wait to go through the exhibit. Way too long for the kids to wait and we decided to look around a bit at some of the entertainment they had for those waiting in line. They had the Dickens Carolers and a band playing along with a juggler on stilts. We asked the kids if they would prefer to go to Universal City Walk instead and the answer was a unanimous, YES! So we got back on the Metrolink and off we went. Peter's friend, Alex joined us for the day and they had a good time eating ice cream and playing in the fountain. We then went to the Game Stop to look at games and Caroline announced that she had gone potty in the fountain...oh yes, yes she did. So I did what any good mom would do: "Ok, honey. Next time tell me you have to go, ok?" and then left the store. Oh yes, yes I did. They use chlorine in those fountains, right? Tell me that they do....
Here's some pictures from the day:

What is wrong with this picture? Well, would you think there would be a problem with deer crossing in the heart of Universal City with the Hollywood 101 freeway just to the right??
The infamous bidet, er fountain at Universal CityWalk
And a good time was had by all.....
