Velodrome Racing and Princess Tea!

We have been busy as little bees around here! I've been working on a business proposal which has consumed much of my time. But we've managed to take Saturday and watch my nephew bike race at the Velodrome. I've never been there before and it was fun to watch some great racing. In fact, Alex ended up racing against a member of the 1988 US Olympic team! She beat him, of course. He's only 13 and she is....well...not. And she trained for years and years and he's trained for months and months.

Here's Alex doing his time trials.

Alex and the Olympian. Sorry, I do not know her name, but she was so nice!

Yesterday, Caroline had a playdate with her friend, McKenna. Our two families traveled to China together and the girls are from the same orphanage and are just a few days apart in age. Along with Abby, it's a lot like sisters - yes, squabbles and all. Oh the drama of being girls. They did, however have a marvelous tea party in their princess dresses, played Pooh Bear's Rumbly Tumbly Adventure on the game cube, and enjoyed a delightful time with Play Doh!

Caroline and McKenna saying, "Cheers!"

This month, Caroline will be 5. Hard to believe it's been almost 4 years since our three families traveled to China, all of us flying into the great unknown of international adoption. We have all been blessed by plucking the three most precious treasures out of China. I will post more about our journey to our daughters as it gets closer to the anniversary. Stay tuned!

Happy Birthday Caroline! I guess she is only a couple months younger than Chloe. They are growing up so fast, but I love this age so much!
